What distance do GLOBAL-COM radios cover?

There is not limit. As long as you have a GSM / 3G / 4G or WiFi signal (Android models), it will be within your reach. This means that it only depends on the service of a cell phone operator or a WiFi access point.

Why is this better compared to traditional walkie-talkies?

Traditional two-way radio will always be limited by distance and interference. As we work with a digital connection that relies on cell phone operators, you will always have clear, interference-free communications. Furthermore, there is no need to invest in expensive radio infrastructure such as repeaters, towers, antennas or leasing sites.

Who can benefit from GLOBAL-COM?

Taxi and general transportation companies, law enforcement, private security guards, construction sites, logistics, box moving, agricultural industry, and anyone else who needs professional two-way radio communications with no range restrictions.

I need to cover a wide area and in multiple locations.

Do I need a set of repeaters and antennas?

No. Our service uses the network of GSM / 3G / 4G operators. You don't need to invest in any network infrastructure other than handheld or mobile radios.

Can I cross-link GLOBAL-COM to an existing radio infrastructure?

Yes, with our cross-linking solution.

Does it work in any country?

If you have Internet access (via 3G / 4G or WiFi), you can use our system, regardless of location.

Can users talk to each other, if they are in different countries?

Yes. Any user can talk to any other user, regardless of location.

Can I use my GLOBAL-COM radio as a normal telephone?

All of our Android based radios can make and receive phone calls and SMS / texts. Non-display models cannot be used as telephones.

Can I use any SIM card?

Yes, you can use any GSM SIM card. All of our radios are SIM unlocked and are compatible with any GSM / 3G / 4G / LTE network.

Do you supply GLOBAL-COM radios with a SIM card?

There are 2 options:

1.- Yes, as long as it is established in the contract. (in this option you will pay the service plus the SIM)

2.- No. You should insert your own SIM card. (in this option you will pay only the service)

What comes with each radio?

Each radio pack includes the radio, a charger, battery, antenna, and belt clip.

Do GLOBAL-COM android radios require a SIM card for strict WiFi use?

No. If you only want to use a WiFi signal, then a SIM card is not required.

Or you could use the two options where the WiFi won't connect to the SIM and vice versa

Can I use my own Android smartphone with this service?

Yes. You just need to install our GLOBAL-COM application on your smartphone.

Can I use GLOBAL-COM radios with CDMA carriers, like Verizon in the United States?

No. All of our radios require a GSM operator. Our 4G / LTE radios cannot be used with Verizon as they require prior approval for each device on your network.

Can I use GLOBAL-COM radios with AT & T or T-Mobile in the United States?

In the United States, our radios will work well with AT&T and T-Mobile. In Europe, Australia and Africa they will also work without problems.

Can I use GLOBAL-COM radios when I'm off the grid, at sea, for example?

You need an internet connection to use our radios. You can use a satellite access point like this that will give you global coverage, even off shore.

What if I don't have internet?

If you can't get 3G or WiFi, unfortunately you won't be able to connect to our network. However, you could still use it as a normal phone if you get enough GSM 2G signal.

What is the function of the SOS button on radios?

The SOS button will send an alarm to all users, showing the location of the user who pressed the SOS button.

How much data do GLOBAL-COM radios require in a month?

For regular use, the 500MB data plan will suffice. In extreme conditions, where communications take place for long periods, a 1GB data plan may be required

Do you offer a delivery system?

Yes, you can install our dispatch system on any Windows PC and contact any user, check their position on the map, speed up, send personal messages, make private and group calls. Platform Management Console is also available allowing you to have complete control of your radio fleet.

Can I verify the GPS location of the users?

Yes, you can check the real-time location of all users and check their tracking as well.

Can you define voice rights and profile permissions for each user?

Yes, all those details can be set. Platform Management Console allows you to have complete control of your radio fleet.

Can GLOBAL-COM radios make private and group calls to other users?

Yes, you can make both types of calls.

Can GLOBAL-COM radios send private messages to other users?

Yes, you can send private messages to any user.

Do I have to subscribe to any service to use GLOBAL-COM?

In addition to having a data plan with your cell phone provider, you must subscribe to our annual GLOBAL-COM subscription.

Why not use a phone to talk to each other?

Our state-of-the-art network is almost instantaneous, less than 1 second to the point of pressing the PTT on one radio to get your voice out of the other or more, plus it can speak up to 10,000 at the same time, ideal for communications with workers in field or patrol personnel.

What happens if the server is offline?

That is highly unlikely. We have 21 strategically located backup servers hosted at state-of-the-art IDCs (Internet Data Centers) in North and Central America, Brazil, England, Germany, Hong Kong, Australia, Singapore and elsewhere. In the event of service degradation, you can count on our highly qualified IT team experience plus a decade of experience in the PTT over Cellular (POC) industry.

How can I pay for the radios?

How can I pay for the subscription?

Can I pay for the radios and the subscription together?

We will provide you with a recurring invoice, where the first charge is the cost of the radio plus the subscription fee for the first year. I need a lot of radios, can I try before I buy?

Not right now. But you can buy one of our starter packages at a reduced price, before investing in a large number of radios / subscriptions.

Can I get a free trial version?

We do not offer that program at this time. We are very sure that you will love our system anyway.

If I order today, will I be billed today? And when does the subscription start?

You will be billed at the time you complete your order. The 1 year subscription will start counting only when you receive the radios and it will ask us to activate the subscription. This way, in case the next recurring payment fails, you still have time to reactivate the subscription, without losing the PTT service.

Can I get a monthly subscription?

Yes. We only offer monthly subscriptions to Corporate accounts.

Do you offer access to the API so that I can use my own software to verify user locations?

Yes, you can have access to an API to use your own geolocation solutions.

Do you offer full duplex communications?

All of our android radios allow regular, full duplex phone calls. By using a radio type communication with GLOBAL-COM, all communications will be simple.

Do your radios have dual SIM cards?

Most of our radios offer dual SIM slot. Check the specifications of each radio.

Can I use a 4G only SIM card in a 3G Android radio only?

Yes, on the radio dial * # * # 3646633 # * # * (this will enter the Engineer menu), select the Preferred Network Option and from the drop-down list, select 4G LTE / WCDMA / GSM. Save and restart the radio.

Do you encrypt communications?

Yes, all communication is encrypted with SHA1 and DES algorithms, and only your organization's network administrator has access to historical data through the Platform Management Console.

I have a large organization.Can I manage the platform myself?

Yes, you can manage all users, groups, chat rights, etc. according to your own needs.
